Do you really service Florence, and is there a trip fee?

What is the best way to cool an old adobe house with no ductwork?

Usually ductless mini-splits, sometimes a small-duct high-velocity system. Adobe holds temperature well, which works in your favor once conditioned air is reaching each room. Forcing conventional ducts through a house like that means soffits, dropped ceilings and compromises that are rarely worth it.

Is air conditioning for a manufactured home different?

Yes, and it matters. Mobile and park-model homes need equipment approved for that use, matched to belly ductwork and to the home's electrical service. Dropping a standard residential system onto one is a common shortcut out here, and it shows up later as poor airflow, condensation problems and a failed inspection.

We leave for the summer. What should we do with the AC?

Do not shut it off. Leave it set around 85° with the fan on auto and have someone look in on the house monthly. We can do a shutdown visit before you go and a startup before you return, which is how a failed capacitor stays a failed capacitor instead of becoming a four-month humidity and mold problem.

Is there a warranty on your repairs?

Yes — parts and labor are both warrantied, and you get the terms in writing on the invoice rather than as a verbal promise at the door. New equipment carries the manufacturer warranty on top of that, which on most systems runs ten years on parts provided the unit is registered after installation.
